Which course is right for you
City Driving School offers driving lessons Edmonton-wide, split into five groups. New drivers with a Class 7 licence take a Full Course. Class 5 drivers who want more road time, or a warm-up before a road test, take a Brush-Up or the 6 Hour on Road Training. Anyone with demerits takes Defensive Driving. Learners still studying for the knowledge test, or worried about snow, take the prep and winter classes.
Prices depend on where you live. Zone A is Edmonton South and Beaumont. Zone B is Edmonton Downtown and Edmonton North. Zone C is Sherwood Park. Every in-car lesson includes free pickup and drop-off inside the service areas. Our instructors, men and women, are certified by Alberta Transportation. Full Course for Class 7 learners
All six versions include 15 hours of theory. Choose in class or online, then choose how many hours you want in the car.

These are for licensed drivers who want more time behind the wheel.

Six hours in the car for Class 5 drivers.

Defensive driving, insurance and knowledge test
Defensive Driving Course
Alberta approved, in class, can remove up to 3 demerits from an Alberta record.

Insurers may give a discount on the defensive driving course. Ask your insurer before you book.
Winter driving
Short winter driving classes to take before the first snow. All three are taught in a classroom.
If you lose your certificate, a Duplicate Certificate is $50.

How to book

Book online at our booking page in five short steps: your details, your area, your course, payment and terms.
Pay online by PayPal or choose to pay at the office.
Bring your Class 7 licence to every lesson, and give 24 hours notice to cancel or a $100 charge applies.
There is no refund once training starts.
Where we teach
Free pickup and drop-off for in-car lessons covers all five areas. Zone A: Edmonton South and Beaumont. Zone B: Edmonton Downtown and Edmonton North. Zone C: Sherwood Park.
