Our winter driving course Edmonton packages are taught in a classroom, not in the car. You choose two, four or eight hours. The price starts at $120 plus GST and is the same in every zone we serve.
Edmonton winters bring snow, ice, cold and short days. Our winter driving lessons in Edmonton give you class time with a certified instructor before you face snow and ice on your own. Every instructor is certified by Alberta Transportation, and the team includes men and women.
City Driving School is an Alberta Transportation approved driving school and has taught drivers since 2009. More than 6,000 students have passed with us. If you are not sure which package to pick, call (780) 965-1151 and we will help you choose.
Our winter driving packages
- Winter Driving Package 2 Hrs. Two hours in class, $120 plus GST.
- Winter Driving Package 4 Hrs. Four hours in class, $240 plus GST.
- Winter Driving Package 8 Hrs. Eight hours in class, $450 plus GST.
- Other classroom courses. The Defensive Driving Course is $150 and can remove up to 3 demerits. Class 7 Learner Preparation is $150.
- In-car options. For road time, see the Brush-Up, two hours in the car from $120 plus GST, with free pickup and drop-off inside our service areas.

Our winter driving course Edmonton prices are the same in Zone A, Zone B and Zone C.
All prices are plus 5% GST.

How to book a winter class
Start with your details. Open the booking form and fill in your details and your Class 7 licence number. No Class 7 licence yet? Phone (780) 965-1151 first.
Choose the area you live in. The form lists our five areas, and the winter packages cost the same in all of them.
Choose the length. Take Winter Driving Package 2 Hrs, Winter Driving Package 4 Hrs or Winter Driving Package 8 Hrs.
Pay, then come to class. PayPal online and payment at the office both work. Accept the terms and a confirmation email follows. A booking you pay at the office stays payment pending until you pay.

How much is driving school in Edmonton?
Our winter driving course Edmonton packages cost $120 for two hours, $240 for four hours and $450 for eight hours, plus 5% GST. The price is the same in every zone. Most in-car courses are priced by zone, and the Full Course starts at $545 plus GST in Zone A. See every price on our courses page.
How long does driving school take?
That depends on the course. The winter driving packages are two, four or eight hours in a classroom, and you pick the length when you book. The Full Course has 15 hours of theory and 10 hours in the car.
Are there online theory courses for driver education in Alberta?

How many hours of driving lessons do I need?
The winter driving packages are in class only. For time behind the wheel, the 6 Hour on Road Training starts at $360, with free pickup and drop-off inside our service areas. Call (780) 965-1151 or (780) 469-1152 to talk it through.

We serve Edmonton South, Beaumont, Edmonton Downtown, Edmonton North and Sherwood Park, with pages for Mill Woods and West Edmonton too. How does driving school work?
Book online in five steps: your details, your area, your course, payment and terms. Pay by PayPal or at the office, and you get a confirmation email. Cancel with 24 hours notice or a $100 charge applies, and there is no refund once training starts.
