About these terms
These terms and policies apply to every course, lesson and car booking with City Driving School Ltd in Edmonton, Alberta. You agree to them at the last step of booking on our booking page. We have written them in plain English so there are no surprises. Each term is short, and the whole page takes a few minutes to read. The nine terms
- Returned cheques. If a cheque is returned for non-sufficient funds (NSF), a $50 charge applies.
- Cancelling a lesson. Give us at least 24 hours' notice to cancel a lesson. If less than 24 hours' notice is given, a $100 charge applies.
- Insurance certificate. To receive the insurance certificate, you need a grade of 7.5 on your on-road training and a mark of 80% on the in-class test.
- Rewriting the class test. A rewrite of the class test costs $25.
- Duplicate certificate. A duplicate copy of your certificate costs $50.
- Refunds. Once your training has started, no refund is given. Please be sure of your choice of course before your first class or lesson.
- Vehicle problems. Your instructor may cancel a lesson at the last moment if the training car has a mechanical problem.
- Bring your Class 7 licence. Bring your Class 7 licence to every lesson. If you arrive without it, the booked hours are lost.
- Records and personal information. Records and personal information are kept for two years, as required by Alberta Transportation, and are then securely destroyed.
Payment options
Two ways to pay. You can pay online by PayPal when you book, or choose to pay at the office. Online payments go through PayPal, and City Driving School never sees your card numbers. You receive a confirmation email. If you choose to pay at the office, your payment shows as pending.
Prices and GST. All prices are plus 5% GST. Most course prices depend on your service area. Zone A is Edmonton South and Beaumont. Zone B is Edmonton Downtown and Edmonton North. Zone C is Sherwood Park. You pick your area during booking.
Your records
Two years, then destroyed. We keep your booking details and personal information for two years and then securely destroy them. For what we collect and why, see our privacy page.
